Before your interview, you need to understand that this role as an Academic Support Coordinator will put you in a position to support educators and students. While the support you will provide will include a multitude of duties, your interviewer is looking to hear about any direct experience you have in supporting both educators and students. Prior to your interview, be sure to research as much as you can about the type of support you will provide in this role to match your experience with the duties you will be taking on here. While your interviewer can get a good sense of your experience from looking at your resume, make sure to go into detail about the support you provided in your past as your answer.

"As you can see from my resume, I have five years of experience in supporting campus faculty in my current role. I regularly communicate with the College of Life Sciences faculty to coordinate meetings, gather data, and other tasks as assigned. This communication is done both verbally and through written email. My current role also includes answering student questions when they come into our office or call the main number. I have experience in helping students with class scheduling and connecting them with campus resources. I pursued my Bachelor's degree to take this next step in my career as an Academic Support Coordinator and am ready for the challenges that await me!"

As you can see from my resume, I have been an educator for the past 7 years. For the last 3 years of my career, I served as the department chair on my campus. My role involved providing support for my team members. I had the opportunity to observe teachers in the classroom and provide feedback when needed. I met with campus leadership to speak on how we could improve our team and deliver data reports.
