"I am a transformational leader who isn't afraid to delegate or work hard, side by side with the rest of my team. I believe in earning the respect of my team through transparency. As I always say, if you want your team to go to bat for you, you have to make them part of your inner circle. Tell them the goals we are shooting for, how we plan to get there, and the stakes involved. If you give them ownership on their part, they will execute it with pride."

A leader isn’t the boss of everyone. A leader takes charge and in a sense even sacrifices their energy for the means of making everyone not just themselves excel in their role. Whether it’s in the workplace or on the basketball court I continue to have a voice that propels others to success including myself.

Good start! Can you give examples of how you have led others in the past? What qualities do you feel are important in a leader? If you can, research the various leadership styles and speak to which you feel you align.
