Sense covid and being laid off from my job working as a dental specialist, which I have to admit that it was bittersweet because I was tired and I believe that I had lost the stomach for the job, so I decided to work different kinds of jobs, When I first started in the Medical insurance field I was very proud that the job and the service that I was able to provide and after years I don't think I loved it as much, But every job that I have had since Covid have been helping people and still in the healthcare industry. I love helping the member and because I am a member, I can relate to their needs be at times I have the same needs. I know that Humana will perfect platform for those who need me.
Marcie's Feedback
Nice! Your answer is very sincere and honest, which the interviewer will appreciate. Consider leaving out the parts about feeling tired and losing a stomach for your last job because you don't want to give the interviewer the impression that this will happen again if they hire you. Instead, focus on all of the positives about the new job (like helping others and being able to empathize because you're a member too) and make that the main reason for why you're interviewing for this position. See below for another way you can rephrase this answer:
During the pandemic, I had time to think about my priorities. I realized that it's important to me that my job aligns with my passions, which include helping others. I'm also passionate about the healthcare industry but want to move on from the medical insurance field in particular which doesn't excite me in the same way anymore. I wanted to apply to this specific position because I'm personally a member of your company so I know that I will be able to relate to and help the other members who call in with questions and concerns. After all, at times I have the same needs as them! I'm confident that my friendly and helpful personality will allow me to shine in this role, and I'm excited to start this new stage in my life.
