If your supervisor asked you to do something unsafe, what would you do?
"Well, I'd remind them that this responsibility falls on their shoulders, and that any mishaps that happen under their supervision would reflect poorly on them. I'd remind them that cutting corners in such a way simply isn't worth it, and that they need to make adjustments elsewhere. I would also respectfully decline, and inform them that I wasn't about to put my safety at risk to make their job easier. So, I would be respectful, and respectfully decline."
This question is nuanced. While you ultimately want to respect the chain of command, your actions also need to adhere to the core values and principles of the company you represent. Ultimately, it boils down to having a broader scope of the big picture, supporting the vision of your company, and performing your job in such a way that exhibits integrity. You'll want to come across as emotionally mature. Practice your composure. Maintain eye contact while posturing yourself in a relaxed and comfortable position. Objectify the situation, exhibiting a big-picture perspective, and how you would navigate this terrain, while exuding integrity, while staying true to the guiding principles of the company.

Additionally, another one of their leadership principles comes into play here, "Have Backbone; Disagree and Commit: Leaders are obligated to respectfully challenge decisions when they disagree, even when doing so is uncomfortable or exhausting. Leaders have conviction and are tenacious. They do not compromise for the sake of social cohesion. Once a decision is determined, they commit wholly."
