Question 2 of 30

What would you like to accomplish in your first 30 days on the job?

"The first 30 days are crucial for onboarding and building relationships, so I suppose that's where my focus would be. I've already gotten a head start on learning about the company and its history. As much as one could from outside the company, anyway. But I would eagerly learn and absorb everything I could so I could start contributing as soon as possible."

      What You Need to Know

Here is some advice TSB offers to their business clients on their website, which can help guide your answer to this question: "On-boarding is crucial to staff retention. The process needs to start before the new employee's first day. Make sure they have all the information they need to prepare. Make a big deal about new hires. Connecting new staff members with someone outside of their chain of command can help. This will embed them in the social and cultural aspects of the company and give them someone to talk to about any issues. Learn from this and keep improving the process."
