Why are you leaving your current employer?

BAE Systems advise their candidates to "be prepared to talk about anything on your resume. It helps to practice some pointed questions that may involve: your lack of experience, why you left your last job or gaps in employment." They want to make sure you are pursuing this position for the right reasons and are being transparent and sincere in your answers.

Showing your personality can go a long way, just like when you do live interviews or phone calls. Even though you are talking to the algorithm, you want to imagine speaking to a real person. So, practice being relaxed as possible and speaking in a level yet enthusiastic tone. Maintain eye contact, and smile softly. If the answer you've composed doesn't allow you to be situationally centered, think of a better way to explain your circumstances. You want your answer to resonate with authentic sincerity.

"There were initially career advancement opportunities with the company, and I am grateful for their development opportunities and how far they allowed me to take my career., But I advanced quickly and ahead of my peers. However, at this point, there is little room for growth. So, I have given them generous notice of my intentions to pursue a like-minded opportunity elsewhere and have their blessing to do so."
