"Our teams worked several shifts around the clock, and we had difficulty getting everyone on the same page. Not everyone communicated effectively on our team messaging platforms, so I decided to implement a hard copy bulletin every week. It was posted in the breakroom where it couldn't be missed, and everyone who read it had to initial it. If someone didn't initial it, we would touch base with them directly and better identify their growth opportunities. This simple solution improved our department's communication and workflow significantly."

I recently contributed to an open-source project on ______. The project was developing a bot that reads all the open source projects on _______ and identifies and outputs ones that are labeled 'good first issue'. These are generally projects that are suitable for people who would like to make their first open-source contribution. What I found difficult here was to try and understand code that someone else had written and to try and improve it. My idea was to improve that program by improving its error-handling ability. So, I added to the code by covering a range of error cases and making the piece of software more robust. Hopefully, this will help people around the world using this project.
