"Based on the description and the responsibilities, this role feels very similar to my current position and in the range of my professional experience. I am capable of performing the duties described, and I feel my resume can attest to that. I am primarily interested in the growth opportunities such a position will present within the company shortly. I was attracted to the position and would consider leaving my current position partly because of the growth opportunities and Amazon's company culture, which feels more suited to my personality."

I have read the job description multiple times and understand that the job requires a deep understanding of software engineering principles, OOPs concepts, and the skill to manage and lead teams. I have the skills to manage and lead teams with a strong understanding of the concepts needed for the job. I will be able to perform according to company standards.

Rachelle's Feedback
You have clearly read through the responsibilities of the role, which is good! If you have examples of recent work where you have deployed these skills, try to offer examples of how you have applied them in your current position (software engineering principles, OOPs concepts, and the skills to manage and lead the teams).

Understanding the job description, I think you are looking for people that meet the technical requirements of knowing SQL and Tableau. You would also like people with some knowledge of Python. I am good at using SQL and Tableau, and I understand that you'd like me to develop better Python skills. I think the role I'm applying for is not highly technical. I applied for a Brand Specialist role.

Amanda's Feedback
This may simply be a matter of perspective. If you do not view the role as technical, share your understanding of the role's requirements with the interviewer and how you have the skills, experience, and capability to fulfill the demands of the role. Then, ask the interviewer if there are any additional technical proficiencies you've overlooked. If the interviewer relates additional technical aspects, then share how your qualifications align with those needs.

This is a "go to market" (GTM) role, driving AI/ML sales and marketing operations. The responsibilities include building and leading AWS' business development efforts for its AI/ML products, including customer engagements. I note that AWS is looking for a candidate with both business and machine learning experience, and I believe that I am a unique match due to my decades of experience as a business leader who has led successful ML projects. For example, I was called to help unblock a project with a financial services enterprise in Europe when one of the C-Suite didn't trust machine learning. I had the gravitas to speak to him as an equal, and, using my understanding of people and business to speak to him in terms he understood, was able to nudge him toward a decision to approve system deployment.
Marcie's Feedback
Excellent response. You explain the intricacies of the role perfectly as well as why you're perfectly suited for it. The example you include strengthens your answer. Great job!

The role of Solutions Architect requires an intimate knowledge of cloud design patterns and how to apply them using AWS offerings to meet customer requirements. The ideal candidate needs to be a good listener, focused on the customer's success rather than selling the product. The role requires intellectual curiosity and the ability to dive deep into technical discussions that yield real-world results for the client.
Marcie's Feedback
And are you all of these things? A good listener? Customer-focused? Intellectually curious, and so on? Make sure to connect your description of the position and its requirements to yourself and what you have to offer.
