Before your interview with Progressive, you must do your research. That includes scanning the company website, checking for online customer reviews, going to Glassdoor.com to view employee reviews, and perhaps speaking to anyone you know who already works in the company. There are five core values that Progressive often talks about, be sure you review them and can speak to those values and how you align. Display to the interviewer that you are engaged in the interview process by doing your homework on them.

"I researched Progressive a great deal and learned about your five core values. I love that there is such a focus on treating others how we want to be treated. I also spent a lot of time reading employee reviews online and was pleased to read that employees feel like Progressive is an inclusive employer. I also appreciate that your company rewards employee dedication through career growth and educational opportunities."

"I have a friend who works at the local office, and she often tells me that the company is one of the most honest and transparent that she's ever worked for. Through my online research of Progressive, I've seen that employees are pleased with work-life balance, management, and compensation. The culture values its employees and values their feedback, and I hope to join the company for those reasons!"

I believe like Progressive, how we achieve something is just as important as what we achieve. (Work ethic, attendance, customer service). With Progressive allowing employees to take ownership of their careers, and hiring from within is what I am for! If I read correctly, you all invest in career development, right? Awesome, definitely value a culture that puts money into their employees.

Stephanie's Feedback
This is a great start, but I suggest updating the last line "value a culture that puts money into their employees" and instead saying something like, "I value a culture that is committed to developing their employees." You want your response to focus more on development and less on money, which can be a red flag for some interviewers.

I appreciate that the company values an ambitious spirit and wants its employees to risk, learn and grow together. Not all companies want their employees to have the drive to exceed in this way so it’s nice that Progressive values this trait. I also resonate with the 5 core values and that DEI is a human imperative.

Jaymie's Feedback
Great start! Can you research more on employee reviews on sites like Comparably.com or Glassdoor.com so that you can reference that and speak to the positive reviews that you've read?
