The interviewer would like to know more about your degree program and how you will apply what you've learned. Assure the interviewer that you have gained transferable knowledge and are prepared to apply that knowledge. If you had specific projects or internships relevant to the position you're applying for, be sure to speak to those in your response.

Rachelle's Feedback
This answer is a nice start; however, it could use more specifics. The interviewer likely has basic details on your college experience from your resume. What other information could you provide to fill in the blanks (i.e., best coursework, academic accolades)?

In May of 2022, I earned my bachelor's degree in Sports Management from Southern New Hampshire University with a 3.8 GPA. I was also selected by campus administration to participate among top students in a leadership program with The National Society of Leadership and Success. Working in the school system and my education have taught me patience, critical thinking, communication, and time management to help benefit me in this role with Progressive. Some other training that will assist me in this position is my many years working with my father on automobiles and for his construction company. Now, I can confidently apply the skills and knowledge I gained to the team at Progressive while continuing to learn new skills from my leaders and coworkers.

Great! Make sure to connect your degree to your aspirations within the company. Emphasize any skills and qualities you see in the job ad that you possess as a result of your education and job experience. Show the interviewer that what you bring to the table is exactly what they need. Good job!!
