I use my work hours efficiently, so the only time I take my work home is when there is an extremely stringent deadline. I would say that, overall, I take my work home maybe twice per month. It's all about being active with your time in the office.
Marcie's Feedback
Nice! The interviewer will appreciate that you're open to taking work home if necessary but that you also recognize the importance of taking breaks from work so you can recharge. Consider mentioning 'work/life balance' and discussing how you maintain that healthy balance.
Anonymous Answer
My goal is to complete work during the hours given. If at any time I am needed I will definitely take extra steps to accomplish the work in a timely manner.

Jaymie's Feedback
This is a good answer that demonstrates your desire to achieve a healthy work-life balance but also that you're willing to take on extra tasks when necessary.

I can finish my work within 40 hours per week and would love to refresh at home. Unfortunately, we sometimes have releases that go beyond 5 pm and start at 5 am on weekends. These are the only times I used to work other than office hours. Other than that I am good within 40 hours and if needed in an emergency I am absolutely available to perform the task outside of office hours.
Marcie's Feedback
Great! It sounds like you recognize the importance of a good work/life balance. Can you talk a bit more about how recharging at home helps you perform at a high level when you get back to work? You strike a good balance here of being willing to go above and beyond but also setting boundaries so you can get a break from work. Nice job!

I aim to work efficiently and diligently enough during scheduled work hours to take home the least amount of work however I understand that sometimes it is necessary when a deadline is approaching. I do not mind working after hours to satisfy the needs of a client.

Jaymie's Feedback
Great! Your answer shows you try to draw healthy boundaries, but you're not afraid to step up when needed to complete tasks or a project.
Anonymous Answer
I typically work efficiently and will do my best to not take work home. However, if the situation arises a need to bring work home, I refer to the team lead or manager to approve overtime to document time worked appropriately.

Jaymie's Feedback
Great job expressing your commitment to getting the job done during designated hours but that you are willing to go the extra mile when necessary and follow the proper channels to get that overtime approved.
