"I always do the right thing, even when no one is looking. In my last position, I was responsible for the cash deposit daily, and in the four years I worked at the company, there was never a discrepancy. There were many opportunities to take money out of the drawer or falsify records, and I was always honest and did what was right. I best show my integrity by being a consistently reliable employee."

"I interact with 20-30 customers through the call center daily, and I see each ticket through to the end. There are many ways to reroute the customer to someone else and many opportunities to tell the customer what they want to hear while not taking appropriate action on the backend, and I have never done either. I pride myself on always being honest with customers, and if there is something I don't know, I am upfront and let them know I will research it and get back to them instead of making something up."

I always do the right thing, even when no one is looking. In my last position, I was responsible for working at sporting events at the school. I worked at the gates for over 5 years and never had a discrepancy. There were many opportunities to take money out of the drawer or falsify records, and I was always honest and did what was right. I best show my integrity by being a consistently reliable employee. Because it is not worth it, and Karma will get you in the long run.

Excellent. Providing an example makes your response more impactful. Clearly, you're a person with integrity, and the interviewer will appreciate that. Conclude your response by reminding the interviewer that you will always maintain the highest level of integrity should they hire you for this position.

Integrity is important to me. I always do the right thing. If I don't know an answer I will do the research or reach out to a supervisor to find the answer. I take pride in my work and take ownership in my company.

Demonstrating integrity in the workplace requires a commitment to ethical behavior, accountability, and respect for others. By consistently practicing these behaviors, you can build a reputation for trustworthiness, credibility, and professionalism.
Marcie's Feedback
You're definitely right about that! Can you include an example of a time when you demonstrated integrity in the workplace to personalize your answer more?

In my current position, I interact with roughly 80 patients through the call center daily. There are many ways for me to pass the buck to someone else to avoid having to be on the phone with them and do my job. I could also tell them what they want to hear in order to get off the phone faster. I haven’t done either. I pride myself on always being honest with customers, and if there is something I don't know, I am upfront and let them know I will research it and get back to them instead of making something up.

Jaymie's Feedback
This is a really great example to share of ways you could take shortcuts, but instead, you do the right thing, always. Well done!
