      1st Answer Example

"Last year, our manager went away on vacation for three weeks. Some of my coworkers wanted to falsify our time sheets to reflect overtime hours we did not work. I disagreed and convinced them it was a bad idea and not worth being fired over. Plus, my conscience cannot tolerate doing or even thinking of doing anything dishonest. I have a strong moral compass and will not deviate from my beliefs."

      2nd Answer Example

"At my previous job, I was asked to fudge some numbers in a report to make our team look better. I knew it wasn't the right thing to do, and it went against my values, so I had to speak up. I went to my supervisor and explained my concerns, and we came up with a solution that was both truthful and still showed our team's strengths. It wasn't an easy conversation to have, but I knew that maintaining my integrity was more important than taking the easy way out. Ultimately, I felt proud of myself for standing up for what was right."

Why did your boss want you to lie? Give a lot more details about this example because it's a good one but you really need to tell it like it's a story for it to be impactful to the interviewer. Explain what you were asked to lie about and what you said instead. And why was the client so thankful? How did your honesty help them?
