QUESTION 2 OF 35

In your opinion, what is the biggest difference when it comes to selling low-end and high-end products?

The most significant difference in selling low-end and high-end products lies in the target audience. Low-end products are generally aimed at budget-conscious consumers who prioritize affordability over features or quality. On the other hand, high-end products target consumers who value premium features and quality and are willing to pay a premium price for them. Additionally, the marketing and advertising strategies used for low-end and high-end products differ, with low-end products often marketed as affordable and high-end products marketed as luxurious or exclusive.

Assure the interviewer that you understand the approach required to sell Chanel products successfully. Compare the sales of lower-end products to luxury products and discuss what you feel is the most significant difference when it comes to closing the deal.

"In my opinion, the most significant difference in selling high-end products is that you must have incredible product knowledge. You need to show value and why your product is superior, and the luxury is worth the price tag. With Chanel, the brand story is exceptional, and the fact that you have been around for so many years is incredible."

"The sales system needs to be more precise, and the sales process may be slower when selling high-end products. However, one must give exceptional service, no matter the price range of the sale."

Quality. You just know that high-end quality products are manufactured well.

Marcie's Feedback

Nice! So the difference is in the quality - but how does this impact the way you sell? You might explain to the interviewer that with a high-end product you spend a significant portion of the selling process explaining the product's features, how it's manufactured, and why its high quality is a valuable investment. Give more details so the interviewer knows that you are able to sell this type of product successfully.
