      It sounds like you have a lot of experience in retail, which is great. Consider rephrasing your answer as seen below, and when you do, make sure to tell the interviewer specifically how much you've sold this year (don't guess - give exact figures) and explain the type of products you've sold.
      "I've been working in retail for over 18 years, during which time I have gained substantial selling experience. I consider myself an expert salesman. While I haven't yet earned any formal sales certifications, I have received on-the-job training from several of my past retail employers which have served me well. This year alone I've sold a million dollars in retail, and I look forward to closing a similar amount of sales - or more - for Chanel."
