Tell us about a time you were dissatisfied with your own performance.

When describing any professional setbacks and how you dealt with it, what you would've done differently, and how you avoided repeating it. Focus your answer on what you learned from the experience, how you moved on from the emotional disappointment of it, and how you applied that failure towards your developmental goals.

Exhibit a clearer view of the big picture. Set your attitude on the big picture, and that informing the rest of the team of your mistakes is nothing more than damage control and an issue of integrity. The only emotion displayed here should be confidence you'll not repeat the mistake because of what you've learned from it.

This question tests your ability to step outside of your comfort zone by admitting to own your mistakes, and even more so, what you learn from such growth opportunities. It evaluates your attitude towards life, how you deal with disappointment, and what you learn from such experiences. Being able to detail your professional development suggests you can take responsibility for your actions, and demonstrates emotional intelligence.
