Question 16 of 37

What are your weaknesses?

"As you can see from my resume, I have a vast amount of experience in medical claims and coding. I've put a lot of thought into this and know that the initial hurdles I would have to overcome as part of the UnitedHealth Group team are learning the appeals processes that your members have and becoming familiar with your billing systems. I am very computer literate and have a ton of experience working in various systems. If I were to join this team, I would focus a lot of my time and energy in my initial weeks on the job in learning and mastering all systems."

      How to Answer

With over 440,000 employees and very distinct and complex business units comprising their overall business, the UnitedHealth Group team knows that any candidate will come with their own set of unique weaknesses. UHG has developed their own unique methods for medical billing, coding, and claims processes and even though you may have prior work experience in these areas, your interviewer wants to hear that you are cognizant of what your weaknesses will be if offered the job. On top of that, they want to hear that you have a plan in place for how you will overcome those weaknesses and find success on the job. Talk about a weakness or two that will be easy to tackle with some effort and that doesn't impact your overall success on the job. Your interviewer will certainly appreciate an honest approach from you in your answer.
