"To build rapport with a team that's new to me, I try to get to know each individual on a personal basis. Even though I will likely not develop close personal friendships with each of them, I think it helps to know one another on somewhat of a personal level. It is easier to work together, especially in trying situations, if the team and I have some level of personal respect for one another. Other than that, I ask the team to allow me to follow through on what I say. I make sure that when I tell the team that I will help them with something, that I follow through. I make sure that the communication is always open with the team, even if the information I may be communicating is not to their liking. I find that people respect honesty and transparency much more than just getting lip service or having someone tell them what they want to hear."

A positive attitude goes a long way, I stand by the saying that you should treat others the way you’d like to be treated.
It’s important to build trust with your clients and colleagues as well, therefore I would follow through with my promises and deliver without exception.
Marcie's Feedback
Having a positive attitude, treating others in a nice manner, and delivering on your promises are all great ways to build trust and build rapport with both colleagues and clients. Can you briefly talk as well about a time when you successfully built a rapport with others at work or school? This will show the interviewer that you are capable in this area. Great job!!
