"The fact that Kaiser Permanente serves 12.5 million members across the country is a true testament to the great service that you provide and I'm hopeful to help continue that rich tradition in this role. I know that this position will put me in rooms with patients in the hospital. Greeting them with a smile on my face and clear instructions of my job will help them feel more at ease and comfortable. Of course, I will always listen to any immediate needs that they have and be sure to escalate any concerns they have to the nursing team. Great service will also come in my ability to be thorough and timely in my work, which you find I will always do in this role."

To me, it means to have a positive attitude to patients, smile and make them feel comfortable, answer any question they have, or resolve any issues they have. Make them think we care about them as if they were our family members so that they will come back.

Rachelle's Feedback

The Radiology PA is the face of the Radiology team to our patients. I strive to make each procedure as easy and painless as possible so our customers are satisfied while providing excellent care. When patients have to schedule a Radiology procedure, my hope is that they trust the team to take excellent care of them as stress-free as possible.

Amanda's Feedback
In a medical role the words "customer service" can often be used in conjunction with or interchangeably with "patient care" because your customers are typically patients. You can strengthen this answer further by explaining what your guiding principle is when it comes to treating patients and building trusting relationships. Do you strive to treat each one as you would want someone to treat your family members? Do you work to put the customer first, making sure their unique health needs are addressed?

It means that I am providing quality care and prioritizing their needs through a system theory approach where I’m supporting members by collaborating with family members and other healthcare professionals, identifying strengths and barriers in themselves and their environment, and being able to advocate for them when necessary.

I know that if I were working for this organization, my customer service would reflect the patient's overall outlook on the company. I understand that Kaiser Permanente strives to provide excellent care for their patients. I would treat every customer how I would treat a member of my family. For patients in my care, I would try my best to provide them with a good, memorable experience where they would want to come back for all their healthcare needs.
