"I am pursuing a career with CBSA because of my desire to prevent terrorism and harmful, illegal activity from entering my country and impacting our citizens. Everyone deserves to feel safe and protected, and since becoming a parent, this desire inside of me has only grown. Second, I come from a family of law enforcement and service professionals, which has engrained this innate desire in me to serve my country and protect its civilians."

I have always admired how CBSA officers manage their responsibilities and that is why I applied to become one. They take on major tasks and are regarded as professionals which is something I aspire to. I also have a keen interest in law enforcement, so it is something I will enjoy doing.

Rachelle's Feedback
You've had unique exposure to the activities of the CBSA via your officer positions within the airport. It's apparent that you have observed CBSA officers' work, and you sound confident in your ability to jump into the role and see long-term success. Good answer!

I am pursing this career because, ever since I can remember, I've had an interest and passion for law enforcement, but I wasn't sure as to which stream to get into. After working at the airport, I realized that I do like interacting with the traveling public and making sure people are safe while traveling. Being able to help keep Canada safe and prevent terrorism and illegal activity really motivates me to become a CBSA officer.

Rachelle's Feedback
Your passion and excitement for law enforcement and the protection of the public are very evident. To take the interviewer through your journey on an even deeper level, I recommend filling in some details between your initial interest in law enforcement and your first role with the airport.

Having the opportunity to give back and protect our country from illegal drugs, weapons, and trafficking, which will not only protect my own backyard, but will also lead to the decline of these things hitting our streets, serves as a major driving factor for myself. Just recently becoming an aunt, I want to make sure that my niece grows up in the safest and most opportunistic environment possible to her. Having this driving force behind me, I also come from a family of service professionals who have instilled a internal drive to serve my community from a young age.

Rachelle's Feedback
Excellent! Your passion shines through in this response, and it's evident that you have many important reasons to protect Canada's people. Adding a splash of personal information about your new niece and the responsibility you're taking on as an aunt will help the interviewer to get to know you on a more personal level.

This response clearly shows your passion; I would suggest extending your response just a bit by adding another sentence or two about why you're interested in the role specifically.
