CBSA applicants (depending on the role for which you are applying) must pass strictly enforced medical testing. These candidates must be medically and physically capable of performing the duties of the position. These medical requirements are in place to protect the candidate and everyone they'd serve in this position. Their health is critical in their mission to protect the health and safety of the public, and support national security.

"I understand that CBSA focuses a great deal on overall health with a targeted focus on vision, hearing, physical endurance, and mental stamina. I am willing to comply with all testing now and in the future. I recently visited the optometrist and have perfect vision. I am confident that I will pass CBSAs binocular and visual acuity tests. I also have fantastic hearing and expect to pass all decibel testing. I display a strong resistance when it comes to succumbing to stress, and I am sure to keep myself in peak physical condition."

The medical requirements outlined by CBSA focus on a variety of areas, including vision, hearing, physical ability to undergo the 'use of force' training, and a psychological assessment evaluating their ability to deal with stress. Assure the interviewer that you are prepared to comply with all medical testing associated with your specific role.

I was aware of all of the testing that would be required prior to applying, and I understand that this job is very physically and mentally demanding. I am willing to comply with all testing that is required, now and in the future, and I expect to pass them all.

Rachelle's Feedback
Excellent! It's clear that you are prepared and willing to do what it takes to pass through the CBSA screening process.

I understand that physical and mental health plays a key role in ensuring a committed tenure with CBSA. With saying that, I am open to any and all testing that may be required now, and in the future of my career with CBSA. I have recently passed a visual and hearing test within the last year. However, I understand that I may need to perform additional testing to meet the requirements within the CBSA.
I actively practice a work out schedule to maintain my physical readiness, as well as multiple forms of mental strength building (daily and weekly) to ensure that I am well prepared to deal with any strenuous situations that I may face.

Rachelle's Feedback
It sounds like you are very prepared for the range of demands present while working for the CBSA. Just a small tweak, I recommend avoiding phrases such as 'with saying that' since it's a transitional statement used to reflect conflicting ideas. You agree with the question, so this statement presents an unnecessary negative. If you have the time, I recommend studying the psychology of particular phrasing and wording since most law enforcement entities will put emphasis on this when analyzing interview responses. I've provided a suggestion for you below.
"I understand that strong physical and mental health are important factors for CBSA when making hiring decisions. I am open to any testing that may be required now and throughout my career with CBSA. I passed my visual and hearing test within the last year. I stick to an active workout schedule to maintain my physical readiness. I also practice multiple forms of mental strength building to ensure that I am well prepared to deal with strenuous situations."
