The Canada Border Services Agency Code of Conduct can be found online at cbsa-asfc.gc.ca. "I have carefully combed through the Code of Conduct provided by CBSA. This Code of Conduct is straightforward, and I can assure CBSA that, if hired, I would abide by these regulations to the letter. There were many interesting factors included in the code of ethics, such as indirectly accepting gifts, for instance. There is a lot to learn, but I am confident that I already live my life in a manner that makes it much simpler to abide by this Code of Conduct without any issue."

No. The expectations are very similar to those required of members of the military and as such, I have been abiding by a similar code of conduct. I also believe that the expectations outlined in the code of conduct are those that can be expected of a competent professional who displays integrity in and out of the workplace. That is what I aspire to be should I be given an opportunity with the CBSA

Rachelle's Feedback
I like that you make a connection between the expectations of the CBSA and that of the military. This approach shows the interviewer that it will not be a major challenge for you to abide by the conduct expectations. Your answer is very confident!

I have taken the time to review the CBSA Code of Conduct a few times. I am aware of the values and conduct we are to exercise at all times, whether on or off position. I have gone over the definitions of Conflict of Interest and Wrongdoing to ensure I know what is acceptable and far from. There is a lot to learn, but based on my daily conduct, I am certain that I will fulfill the CBSA Code of Conduct.

Rachelle's Feedback
There certainly is a lot to learn - you are right! However, it seems that you are well on your way. This answer sounds confident, and it's great that you give the nod to your daily conduct as assurance that you will have no issues complying with the CBSA Code of Conduct.
Anonymous Answer
Yes, I have taken extensive time in learning the code of conduct. I fully intend to follow and fulfill all the rules that are enlisted in the code of conduct. However, I have still yet to learn more, but I don't doubt that I will be having trouble with conduct because it's all logical and reasonable, and that's what being a CBSA officer is all about.

Rachelle's Feedback
Logic and reason are certainly significant parts of maintaining proper conduct on and off the job. You sound highly confident in your ability to follow the CBSA Code of Conduct.

I have read through the CBSA code of conduct, and I assure you that if I am hired, I will have no issues following it to a T. With my employment with _____, we had a similar code of conduct in which I had no issues following.

Rachelle's Feedback
It's a great idea to show the interviewers that you have a history of good conduct and experience abiding by similar expectations. Well done!

I have read thru and familiarized myself with the Code of Conduct. I can honestly say, with certainty, that there are no points or responsibilities, that I feel that I am unable to fulfill. After reading and writing down points of interest, I found that the Code of Conduct is very straight forward and allowing no room for misunderstanding. As I read through the Code of Conduct, I found that many of the values highlighted, I already apply those to my daily life and those I choose to associate with.

Rachelle's Feedback
Similar feedback to question #9. If the CBSA utilizes the psychology of language when reviewing interview answers, avoid over-expressions such as 'I can honestly say...' or 'In all honesty...' as it can signal insecurity or dishonesty. Stick with the facts: you are honest, ethical, and have a proven history of maintaining strong personal values.
