Training in our Administrative Fellowship can be very demanding. What will keep you motivated on the hardest days?
Coming into your Administrative Fellowship interview, you have been preparing for this moment in the classroom during your master's degree program. For the first time, you will be putting the knowledge and skills you learned to the test in a real-world healthcare setting. Your interviewers know that the days will be demanding and they need to be assured that you would remain motivated and ready to succeed, no matter what is asked of you.
"I know that the coming year's training in your Administrative Fellowship will have me working with many key leaders, physicians, and other staff in many environments. I'm ready to take this challenge head-on because I'm highly motivated to learn and grow in my pursuit of a future career in hospital practice management. If I were fortunate enough to join your organization, you'll quickly find that I'm very highly organized and able to communicate effectively when times get tough on the job."
Think back to times when you handled very demanding times during your schooling and highlight what techniques you used to work through it and what was your motivator to always try your hardest. No matter how you answer, you want to ensure that your interviewers get the sense that you are ready to take on any challenge during your time training with them and that you have the desire and motivation to succeed in any situation thrown your way.
