"Sometimes full disclosure can damage someone's self-esteem or an organization's reputation, but honesty is always the best policy to do what is best for a patient and an institution. During my master's program, we studied cases of misdiagnoses and how administrators needed to be at the forefront of advocating for an upfront and honest approach. As a fellow at your institution, I would always be an advocate for honesty in all situations and am able to have those difficult conversations with the right people."
