As you have studied and worked hard to obtain your master's degree and pursue Administrative Fellowship training, you likely have some very specific career goals in mind. Your interviewers pose this question to both hear what your career goals are and to get an idea of what you hope to gain in your time as a fellow with their institution.
"Thank you for asking! I have a passion for day-to-day clinical operations management and doing work that impacts the overall quality of healthcare delivery. As a fellow with your institution, I look forward to helping lead clinical initiatives and working with the provider staff that treats patients on a daily basis. Come to your Administrative Fellowship interview prepared to talk about your ultimate career goals and where you see yourself ideally landing after the fellowship. Then, put some thought into what you are looking to learn and achieve during the fellowship that can help you reach these goals. You can also talk about some of the general skills you are hoping to obtain during fellowship training that will benefit you in your career, no matter what path it takes.
