How will you determine your priorities when you have multiple projects you are working on as our Administrative Fellow?
During your time in Administrative Fellowship training, you will be working on assigned projects that span a wide range from clinical development to fundraising projects. Your interviewers need to be assured that you would join their organization to prioritize multiple projects at the same time.
"As your next fellow, I will determine which project requires my attention by the overall scope of the project and the deadline. I am comfortable delegating tasks when needed, but I am also aware that these times will require an additional commitment of hours from me. During my MHA program, I was often juggling multiple assignments, papers, and research projects at once. To stay organized, I made sure to block my calendar to work on high priority needs first and then always have time to keep other projects moving."
To best answer a question on your ability to multitask, try to provide an example of a time when you were handling multiple projects and assignments during your master's degree program. As you discuss the situation, you'll want to talk about your method for prioritizing your work and discuss how you kept yourself organized and on track in your work. In the end, you want to assure the interviewers that you can be diligent when it comes to assessing your priorities as their next Administrative Fellow.

Jaymie's Feedback
Prioritizing tasks and designating time blocks to complete tasks is a helpful strategy. Be sure to include that you can effectively evaluate tasks and determine which are critical and time-sensitive, high value, medium priority, and low priority. In this role, it will also be necessary to reiterate that you can devise a strategy to complete tasks; however, you understand the importance of flexibility and adaptability. Change is frequent in healthcare, so the interviewer needs to know that you can easily adapt and shift priorities when necessary.
