There is a lot of information on your resume and cover letter, which got you this interview. Now the interviewer would like to get to know you apart from what is on your resume. Before the interview, compose a capsule bio - a description of your life relevant to the position, typically about 200 words. Include only information they couldn't have gleaned from your resume and cover letter. Include information such as where you were born, a blurb about your parents and upbringing, educational and professional achievements (not already listed on your resume-you don't want to come across as redundant), and why you are here today. Rehearse it, ensuring you come across as relaxed, interesting, and relatable. Try to keep it as professionally related as possible. When it gets personal, it should factor into your inspiration for your career path or anything that attests to your work ethic. Your answer should be unique to set you up as a memorable candidate!
