Your interviewer at Qatar Airways is fully aware that everyone handles the stress and disappointment of setbacks on the job differently. What they'll be ideally looking to hear is that you can face a setback head-on by being accountable for your own actions and doing what is necessary to make a situation right by being diligent.

"Experiencing a setback is always disappointing, and can even be a bit disheartening, but I understand that it happens from time to time on the job here at Qatar Airways. If I would experience a major setback, I would start by doing what is necessary to rectify the situation. If a passenger was involved, I would speak directly with them and let them know what I would do to take care of the situation. Then I would take a few moments to debrief with my manager and discuss what I could have done differently."

"Setbacks happen for a reason, and they do not affect me emotionally in the least. I am a very pragmatic thinker and stay focused on my project, despite the challenges that come my way. I am a creative thinker, so setbacks are often used as a new jumping-off point to something even better. In my current position, this happens from time to time when customers change their orders at the last minute and I always need to be flexible and ready to do some rework to make them happy."

Discuss with the interviewer how you typically cope with delays in the workplace in a healthy manner. If possible, use an example of a time when you had to confront a setback on the job and take action to fix the situation. As you answer, reiterate that you understand that working in the commercial airline industry will find you in some stressful and time-sensitive situations and that you are ready and willing to get to work in this type of environment.

When I experience a setback, I become reflective and proactive. I take time to myself to think about what went wrong and how I can improve. I tend to be more reserved and quieter when I am pensive. Productivity does not waiver, but my demeanor may be more solemn.

I think setbacks are a part of life, particularly setback on the job can seem disappointing and affect the morale.
However, it is something that should be factored into the equation and therefore whenever I experience a set back a take a few moments to think about the cause and what could have been done differently?
Setbacks cannot be reversed but they can act as a learning curve because a mistake should corrected before it becomes an error.
I usually move move on forward after a setback.
