When have you been asked to perform a function or complete a task in which you had little or no experience in doing?
This question will help your interviewer gain a better understanding of your work style and approach to problem solving. In other words, they are curious whether you are self-managed in your work, or if you need constant hand holding. Offer an experience where you were resourceful and took a calculated risk without overstepping your bounds. Show how you willingly step outside of your comfort zone, exemplifying leadership potential. Share the positive outcome, and how you learned, and how your actions benefitted your teams.
"I was asked to train an employee on a new point of sale system that I hardly knew. To prepare, I worked overtime, watching online tutorials so that the new employee's training time was well spent."
