This question can be challenging because everyone wants to be liked and considered personable. However, being a dynamic leader can make you a proponent of change in the organization. A hiring manager will want to know that they are hiring a change agent for their organization and not a friend for their employees. Take some time to evaluate the main leadership types and meditate on how you would describe your unique approach. Think about your leadership style and the leaders you admire who you model yourself after.

"I am a personable individual, but I won't always be everyone's cup of tea. I would much rather be a dynamic leader. As a dynamic leader, I can ensure that the organization benefits from my presence, and, at the same time, I can lead my team by example. So, if I had to choose, I would rather be a dynamic leader. People cannot deny the ways you impact their life, regardless of how they feel about you."

"I would say I am a little of both. I have strong relationship-building skills in the workplace and am very close to everyone I work with. But, I am also very dynamic in being able to influence, inspire and develop those I am working with. I can identify talent, and I try to get everyone on my team to see their own strengths as clearly as I do."

I'd say I'm a bit of both I don't think you can be an effective leader while personifying just one archetype of leader. That being said I'd much rather a job is done correctly than to be someone's friend. I strive to have all my employees improve underneath me and be the best them they can be, and that means making sure they're happy and looked after.
Marcie's Feedback
Being balanced is always good. :) But it's clear that you prefer to lead than be friends with those below you. This makes sense! If you've ever had a boss in your life who impressed you, don't hesitate to mention what you admired about them. Good job!

I would say that I am a little bit of both but lean toward being a dynamic leader. I strive to make people feel comfortable and happy, but it is also important to pair that personable with the ability to lead people towards the company goals. And as a dynamic leader, you can inspire people to do that.

I would rather be considered a dynamic leader. Dynamic Leaders improve their skill set by growing daily and learning as much as possible from every conversation, meeting, interaction, and experience.

Awesome! Have you ever known a dynamic leader who you can cite here? Discuss why you looked up to them. Also, consider mentioning that you still strive to be personable as well because people interactions are important. Good job!
