This question is similar to the skills question; however, there is one clear distinction in that when you discuss areas of expertise, you are essentially creating an unofficial brand for yourself by aligning yourself as an expert in those areas. You want to ensure you can sell yourself and your brand while discussing these areas of expertise.

"In brand management and marketing, I have been able to gain enough experience to call myself an expert in 3 areas, social media campaigns, relationship building with clients, and planning events. When I worked in the tech industry as a brand manager, these three areas were the most significant components of my job. I had to frequently run and monitor social media campaigns, and often these were the most significant piece of our plan for clients. I also had to understand how to build relationships with potential and new clients and ensure they were confident in my services. I also frequently planned events to help create more awareness around client brands. All of these were the main components of my work, and my experiences in these areas are ones I think my professional accomplishments show. "
