This is similar to the metrics questions. You want to be direct, and use language frequently used within the industry. If discussing a strategy change, you should focus on how you begin. Be honest about issues, but always be solutions-focused.

"For me, the biggest indicator if a strategy is working is increased revenue and a satisfied customer. I aim for these simple metrics. Of course, there are other smaller ways I know if a strategy is successful, but for me, if I've helped increase revenue and a client is happy, I consider my work successful. In most instances, I've known a strategy wasn't working if a company isn't gaining new customers, making more money, or the customer is asking questions that indicate they have doubts. Immediately when I start to notice these indicators, I will schedule a meeting with our team to re-strategize. I may also directly ask our clients if they're happy with the work done so far. If they say no, I immediately will work to revamp our plan. I find that addressing these issues early on helps lead to a successful plan."
