When interviewing for a job, remember that hard skills are only a piece of what they're looking for. They may be interviewing six candidates with almost the same education and background. You want to explain what makes you stand out and what makes you different. Think about soft skills, personal interests or passions that align with the industry, or unique hard skills that most other brand managers don't have.

"One thing I think is unique about me, and my approach to work is I combine a level of logical and creative thinking to make decisions. I use logic and data to make very tangible data-driven decisions. However, I can also combine that data with a creative ability to come up with unique plans and solutions. I've noticed in my work that many people are heavy in one approach. My ability to combine informed data analysis with creative problem-solving has allowed me to be very successful in the industry."
