Describe a time where you had to deal with a negative public relations situation regarding your brand. What was done to minimize the damage to the brand and what was your role in that?
In this question, it's important to emphasize not only how you handled a difficult situation but also discuss what you learned from it. Tell a story, but be brief, and then bring attention to the overall lesson learned.
"Our team was working with a company who oversold what their service was able to do. They misled customers essentially by overselling their service's reach and abilities. When this occurred, our team first met to strategize and brainstorm how to discuss this issue with the client. We then had a meeting with the client discussing the importance of taking ownership of this issue and guiding them on how to move forward by effectively discussing the actual reach of their service. The client was receptive to the suggestions, but it was also a valuable lesson for myself and the team in ensuring we are guiding clients properly throughout the process and the importance of teamwork in handling issues as they arise when working in marketing."
