"I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love reading, watching documentaries, learning, attending lectures, and cooking. I'm something of a health nut and a foodie. I try to avoid processed foods whenever possible, so I do a lot of cooking from scratch. Aside from that, getting a bite to eat somewhere, or going for a walk or a hike somewhere new."

This personal question aims to reveal insights into your personality, interests, and motivators. Sharing your interests outside work will inform them whether you are a one-dimensional professional with a greater likelihood of burnout on the job or adding depth and making you more relatable. Seize this opportunity to make yourself more interesting. If all goes well, it could result in presenting as a more memorable candidate when the hiring authority later reviews the interviews.

It will also scan tone for your vocal cues, such as placing stress or emphasis on certain words, stutters, or taking long pauses.

Besides spending time with friends and family, I love to do anything that is new and novel while also worthwhile and valuable. An example would be hiking on a long, dangerous path, reading books about a new topic I am exploring, or simply talking about the future and theories with my close friends. Essentially, I love to laugh, I love to experience, and I yearn for making an impact along the way.

I enjoy playing basketball at the Rec Center and cooking food. It's always a good time to play some pickup ball. I've been cooking since I was a child and these days I'm a health nut always trying online recipes that support a strong body and mind. I enjoy spending time with my family when I go back home, I love documentaries, and learning about new cultures in new places.
