As your interviewer reviewed your qualifications and experiences during their candidate screening process, they only got an outline of your educational path. In asking this question, they're looking for you to dive into your post-secondary education to hear about where your interests fall and what potential weaknesses you may have.

"I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Felician College in 2009. While attending college, I feel that my most challenging course was Statistics for Life Sciences. I completed this course with a B grade. My best course was Mental Health Studies. I found it to be fascinating and finished at top of my class in that course. Being a strong communicator and having a very creative side, pursuing a career in marketing made sense because it suits my strengths. Since graduation, I've been enamored by working in healthcare, and I'm excited for this opportunity at Cigna Corp."

"I recently graduated with my degree in Clinical Medical Assisting. There were many challenges along the way; however, I would say that my overall experience was incredibly positive. If I had to choose my biggest struggle, I would say that Anatomy and Physiology were the most in-depth. With that said, I did receive very high grades in those courses. My favorite subject of study, overall, was Pharmacology."

I graduated with a Bachelor's in Psychology. The course I struggled the most in was math. I am not naturally a numbers person so I had to study hard in order to pass. My favorite course was psychology. I have always been fascinated by the brain and human behavior.

Great! You have done well to highlight your degree and included sound reasoning to support the subject you struggled in, as well as your favorite course. Consider letting the employer know where you earned your degree, and if possible, establish a connection between your education and the position you are interviewing for. What skills have you learned that would allow you to have an impact in the role if hired?
