Our work at Centene Corporation is strongly influenced by changing legislation. How do you stay current with new rules and regulations that impact your work?

"I subscribe to several blogs on this topic and read the news. I try to take 15-30 minutes a day during lunch to read. If anything I hear would cause a major process change, I think about whether or not I can handle it for my team or if it needs to be taken to my leader."

"Four years ago, I joined an association that sends out updates any time there is a changing regulation that could impact our work. In my current role, we share information and brainstorm new ideas to comply with changing regulations."

If you know how to stay up-to-date on changing regulations in the managed care arena, that is great! Talk about the resources that are available and assure your interviewer that you stay on top of the game in this realm. If you don't have direct experience in the regulatory side of the business, that is okay. Make sure you do some research ahead of the interview on how changes will impact your work and come to your interview prepared to discuss ways you would research new regulations. Don't hesitate to ask questions of your interviewer.
