Do you see yourself as a natural leader? When have you led a team?

"In my current position, I am the President of the Social Committee at our organization. I love that I have the opportunity to encourage employee engagement while being a positive influence on the workplace culture. I am a natural leader because I lead by example, no matter my position. As a leader, I make myself available to others who need mentorship, assistance adjusting to their role, or a listening ear when they've had a tough day. I am confident in my leadership abilities and look forward to helping lead others on the job here at Centene Corporation."

First, talk about your desire to be a leader on the teams you are a part of. Don't hesitate to talk about a time you stepped up and took the lead with being asked and the positive results. If you are getting stuck looking for an example of a time you led a team, you can also think about extracurricular activities outside work. As long as you display your ability to lead and motivate others, your interviewer will get the sense that you can be a natural leader on their team.
