In asking this question, your interviewer wants to hear about one of your more ambitious ventures on the job in providing excellent service.

"My manager asked me to review a spreadsheet of providers to make sure they were credentialed properly at a certain medical facility. Upon looking at the spreadsheet, I noticed many errors in the spelling of people's names and fields on the document that didn't make sense. Instead of just ensuring they had all the missing pieces of the credentialing process, I cleaned up the entire spreadsheet so everything was accurate and the reports would have the proper data."

Before your interview with Centene Corporation, think of a time you went the extra mile in your work. It is great if you can highlight an example where you went that extra step without being asked and provided great support or service to a colleague or customer.

The controller asked me to check a PO in SAP to see if it was posted and paid. Upon looking at the PO, I realized that it was a contract, so I asked if he had the contract or agreement because I couldn't find it in our files. He asked why? I told him that the PO had not been paid, and it seems the last few entries were not either. I would like to see the end term date of the contract. The controller told me I was too ambitious.
