      How to Answer

Make sure you've done your research and understand the job. If you didn't even look at the job description before applying, the company is not very likely to want to hire you. This is your chance to brag and stand out from other candidates. Explain why you're a great fit for this position and its specific job requirements. Demonstrate to the interviewer why you're excited about this type of work and that you will be motivated and enthusiastic in the role.

      Answer Example

"I've led a marketing team for the past three years. I started with two direct reports and then hired an additional three people to grow my team to five total. I was responsible for their performance reviews, training, and more. It's an area that I enjoy, and I hope to grow into at Amazon. That's one reason I applied for this job; I saw this Manager role has the opportunity to play a leadership role and help grow the marketing team."
