Considering how expensive it is to hire and onboard new employees, interviewers want to feel confident that the people they hire have the ambition to excel and growth potential but aren't already plotting how to land their next job.

The best way to respond is to show intentionality with direction but flexibility in the details. Connect the job to your career goals. Try to incorporate some language from the job description into your answer.
