Why the Interviewer Asks This Question
Interviewers ask this question to find out more about how you fit into the company culture at your last job. If you didn't get along with your coworkers, it could mean that the company culture wasn't a good fit for you, and if the job you are interviewing for has a similar company culture, you may not be a good fit for that either. They will also compare what you've said to what your actual references have said about you.

A good answer to this question should contain a few key elements, including honesty and an example of how your coworkers or a single coworker thought of you. Focus on the skills and attributes that would make you an asset to the organization. If you want to dig deeper, ask your current or past co-workers how they would describe you. Their answers may reveal strengths you otherwise wouldn't have considered or areas for improvement.
