QUESTION 15 OF 31

Why is this job with XPO Logistics right for you at this point in your career?

Discuss with the interviewer where you are at on the timeline of your career goals and objectives, describing the opportunities you are pursuing in this stage of your career, what comes next, and how this particular role with XPO Logistics fits well with the opportunities that you are seeking. Be sure to give a more in-depth answer than the typical "I am looking for growth" answer that so many interviewers hear. Be thoughtful and draw upon the research you have done on the company.

"I am looking for growth"

"This is the right job for me because it is what I have been trained to do. My education and previous work history are related to the role and the industry, making it a perfect fit."

Anonymous Answer

I am looking for a job where I can put to use my extensive experience in customer service in the trucking and shipping industry. I feel this position is a great way to get started on a career at XPO with a focus on customer service. I also feel this shift fits my needs of working early morning, day, or evening shifts. So the time of the shift fits my needs.

Cindy's Feedback

Good! You're explaining how you can satisfy the needs of the position while explaining how this position meets your career needs. I would include more detail about why this is the right job for your next move in a bit more detail so the interviewer gets a sense of your "fit" for the position.
