In the logistics industry, clear communication is integral to the successful operations. Talk to the interviewer about the value you place on clear and functional communication in the workplace. Offer your most recent position and how communication played a role in your success, and what you contributed to enhance clearer communication in the workplace. Remember, communication is more than getting everyone on the same page. It's the manner in which a message is conveyed.

"I show my co-workers the importance of communication through my willingness to ask questions if I do not understand the first time. I do not pretend to know something to save face. By creating an environment where questions are encouraged, we increase communication greatly, and see a healthier safety record as a result."

First, I start with being an accurate and clear communicator myself. I provide clear and concise information in my communications and using the tools that my supervisor and training have provided for us. I also learn my coworkers preferred ways of communicating, whether it's email or letting them know in person. If I feel someone isn't communicating that well, I ask them ways that work for them. If it's a problem that affects our bottom line or customer service, I let a manager know after trying to communicate with my coworker.
