"The most recent campaign that stood out to me was Coinbase's ad during the 2022 Super Bowl. I did some follow-up research on the strategy for the ad, and there are several reasons I liked it. The ad is vague but enticing, making the viewer wonder what is going on. There's no branding, so the only way to find out more is to scan the QR code. It was an excellent example of how creativity can beat all marketing and branding best practices. Finally, the creative cost was low, and they got a big bang for their buck. Other companies spend millions on creating Super Bowl ads, whereas Coinbase used that money to buy twice the standard 30-second airtime."
