If you are familiar with selling similar products to the hiring company's offering, talk specifically about your experience. You could discuss:
- How long you sold these products
- What specific brand(s) you sold
- The location you sold the product (malls, trade shows, fairs, kiosks, etc.)
- Whether or not you had to meet sales goals in the past
- Any accomplishments you have achieved while selling this particular product.
If you are not familiar with selling similar products, let the interviewer know what you are familiar with. Perhaps you have not sold related products, but maybe you are well experienced in sales or understand how they work from being an avid consumer. Show that you are confident and you have the skills required to be successful in this retail role.
