What are you reading right now?
The interviewer will ask this question for a few reasons. They want to get to know you more as a person, see what topics interest you and if you like to read in your spare time. They want to determine if you feed your mind regularly and see what kind of literature you prefer. Talk to the interviewer about a book that you are currently reading. If you are not currently reading a book, talk about one that has impacted you the most.
"Currently, I am reading 'Ego is the Enemy' by Ryan Holiday. It is a book about ambition, resilience, and success. I feel that every law enforcement official should read it. It comes highly recommended."
"I am in the final stages of completing my bachelor's degree, so, at the moment, my textbooks are getting my attention full time! Otherwise, I enjoy reading crime-based fiction. My favorite author is Agatha Christie."
"I read a lot of books in my time away from work. Currently, I am diving into the work of Tony Robbins. I find him inspiring, and I like his direct approach."
Focus on responding with a book that the interviewer will not be embarrassed by. If you are reading a book such as 50 Shades of Grey, you might want to pick up a different book before your interview so you can be honest in your response! Good books to read, and that the interviewer will be impressed with, are self-help books, books regarding law enforcement, inspirational books, or true crime novels.

I'm reading the Vortex by Abraham Hicks. It is one of the books that are part of the Law of Attraction collection. This one specifically talks about being in alignment with your energy which is represented through feelings such as inspiration, passion & joy... basically being happy & joyful to attract all the good things in life. It is the power of manifesting the right things for oneself.
