Many border patrol agencies have trained emergency medical technicians (EMTs) on staff, while others are adopting EMT programs to serve the public better when there is an emergency. The interviewer wants to know if you have any medical training or if they will need to put you through an EMT program if hired.

Focus on describing any medical training you have received, which may place you higher on the candidate list. Tell the interviewer if you are current in CPR, AED, or First Aid. If you have advanced training and have certification or licensing, highlight those qualifications.
