Why the Interviewer Asks This Question

The interviewer wants to understand your banquet experience and make sure the person they hire is not overwhelmed. Being able to manage and staff an event for 1,000 is much different than managing a dinner event for 20.

      What You Should Say

When answering this question, be sure to include the support staff (convention services/ room setup) and the temp agencies you work with. It can be difficult to hold a third-party agency accountable, highlight a couple of examples that show how many events you oversee during the peak season.
