"As a goal-oriented individual, I am driven and motivated by reaching and surpassing goals. Recently, our fundraising team was required to raise an additional 50,000 to support increased capacity for our rehousing program. I knew our regular donors had largely fulfilled their pledges for the fiscal year, so I amped up communication with new donors I had been meeting with recently. I discovered that one of these donors had lived in transitional housing as a child, and he wanted to give back to this specific program. He agreed to make the gift before the fiscal year ended, and he even donated an additional 5,000 to our endowment."

"The Special Events team had a goal last year of hosting four neighborhood cleanup events to allow engagement from individuals who worked during our typical weekday service hours. Our goal was to have fifty participants at each event. I partnered with a digital skills-matching organization that connected people seeking volunteer opportunities to unique events in the city. Because of this new partnership, we surpassed our goal and hosted nearly one hundred people at each of our four events."
